This inside report reveals why young radicals today are as disillusioned with the Affluent Society as their fathers were with the America of the Dépression – and shows what they are doing about it, in anti-poverty drives, bids for racial intégration, éducation, and social reform. Their main enemy is not the right-wing bogey of.the past(although he still exists) but the smug, unthinking libéral who goes ‘ail the way with L.B.J.’ – but no further. The story of this movement which is pledged to undermine the corporate libéral state in the name of individual freedom is told hère with excerpts from New Left magazines, influential ‘beat’ poetry, and statements by the leaders of the various progressive groups.

Le 21 février s’est déroulé à Paris une manifestation de soutien au peuple Vietnamien. L’importance de la mobilisation est d’autant plus significative qu’elle est, avant tout, le fruit d’un travail mené à la base, dans les amphis et les quartiers.

La pièce d’Armand Gatti a été écrite à la demande du Collectif Intersyndical Universitaire et doit être présentée dans les principales villes de France. Elle doit nous amener à nous interroger sur le sens et la valeur de ce qui est communément appelé civilisation.

L’aggravation de la situation au Vietnam et le développement, en France, des manifestations de solidarité avec le peuple vietnamien, conduisent le P.S.U à se positionner  sur un certain nombre de problèmes directement liés au conflit vietnamien et à mieux coordonner l’activité des militants du Parti engagés dans ce secteur.
